Welcome to ULU Canoe Polo

We are a group of students, staff and alumni at University of London Universities whose passion is canoe polo – occassionally described as “rugby meets basketball on water”.

We’re ULU’s only kayaking club, so if you fancy paddling whilst studying or working in Central London then feel free to drop by, and we’ll do our best to convert you to our unique sport! We take players from all kayaking backgrounds, from freshers who have never paddled before to those who’ve mastered other disciplines and want to try something a little different.

If you fancy joining us and trying canoe polo then you’ve got nothing to lose – just pop along to any beginners training session at the Energybase Pool in the basement of the ULU Building (address and map on the left). These sessions are currently happening on Wednesday evenings 2030-2200hrs and Sunday afternoons 1730-1900hrs. All you need to do is turn up with a swimming costume, old t-shirt / rash vest and some old shorts / bordies – if you turn up 15 minutes before the session is scheduled to begin you’ll find lots of friendly members willing to help kit you out!

Membership for the year is £40 for students, which includes all pool sessions and use of equipment. Membership for one term is £20.

If you’ve got any questions then feel free to contact us at ulu@canoepolo.com
